Nurturing dreams and showing students what is possible is Mrs. Courtney Stekl. She celebrates her birthday on February 1st. Her family consists of husband, Christian.
She graduated from Northwestern College with a degree in K - 6th Elementary Classroom Teacher, PK - 3rd Regular/Special Education Teacher, K - 8th Reading and K - 12th Athletic Coach Endorsements. She is in her 3rd year of teaching. Previously she taught 1st grade and coached volleyball and track. Now at RV she teaches 2nd grade and is the RV High School Girls Volleyball Assistant. She believes her students would be amazed to find out that she knows how to sail a sailboat.
Her favorite thing to do for excitement is spending time with family and friends and exploring the outdoors.
Some of her favorites are:
- The color purple because her birthstone is amethyst which is the color purple.
- Food is strawberries.
- Sport is volleyball.
- Her favorite teams are the Iowa Hawkeyes, Michigan Wolverines, St. Louis Blues and Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Her greatest thing about teaching is helping students become lifelong learners and being able to watch them as they grow academically, socially, emotionally and learn from them every day.
Mrs. Stekl, thank you for all that you do!
