Mr. Flynn believes the purpose of the team is to play music and have fun doing it. He says some of their duties are concerts, pep band, swing show, solo/ensemble contest, large group contest, performing at nursing home, special events and others.
Mr. Flynn believes that they work as a team to create music and every member is expected to pull their own weight is what makes the team successful.
The team has fun between concerts or at the end of the year he sometimes brings in rock band for the students to play and every other year they take a music trip.
Mr. Flynn said, "Everyone has a part to play and nobody is benched when it comes to a performance" are some advantages of being on his team.
Mr. Flynn is proud because these students are very hard workers and the ones involved this year are willing to stick with it even though in this time of uncertainty.
Mr. Flynn, thank you for all that you do!
