In this spotlight we will recognize the High School Choir who is coached by Mr. Eric Flynn.
The team consists of 4 players:
- Clarsie Simmons-9th grade-Soprano
- Heidi Taylor-11th grade-Alto
- Ashlyn Putzier-Soprano
- Carly Ebert-11th grade-Alto
Mr. Flynn believes the purpose of the team is to sing/create music and have fun doing it. He says some of their duties are concerts, swing show, solo/ensemble contest, large group contest, singing at the nursing home, special events and others.
Working with such a small group allows Mr. Flynn to help focus on each of them to make them better individually is what makes the team successful.
The team has fun by currently making a "Virtual concert", but usually singing karaoke stuff or jamming to pop music.
When asked what are some advantages of being on his team, Mr. Flynn said, "Small group means more time for individuals to progress.
Even though they are a small group this year, each student has brought their best abilities and attitudes to class to make it fun is what Mr. Flynn is proud of about his team.
Mr. Flynn shared, "We are small but mighty!"
Mr. Flynn, thank you for all that you do!
